17 Oct “After the Darkness” Book Cover
The shadowy form on the cover is actually me, the author! My husband snapped the photo when, in 2007, we were in Canada during US Columbus Day weekend which is the Canadian Thanksgiving. We were taking a tour of a cathedral when I decided to light one of the prayer candles. As I stood in contemplative silence, my husband (without my knowledge) took this picture of me. There were signs all thought the cathedral stating that photos were not allowed but that didn’t stop my rebel husband.
I held onto this picture for years, it becoming part of our Canadian trip display. I just loved the silence of the picture of the meaning it held for me. When it was time for me to come up with a cover idea for my book , this picture was the first picture that came to mind. I think it is very fitting, don’t you?
